Matt Dillon est né à Nouvelle-Rochelle, aux Etats-Unis, en 1964. D'origine irlandaise, l'acteur américain a cinq frères et sœurs, dont l'un, Kevin Dillon, est également un acteur reconnu à Hollywood.
